Remodels

 Featured Project:

The Fountain House

This 100 year old home sat vacant with major leaks for a decade. We were honored to repair and restore it to her former beauty.

After we finished the major structural repair, which included jacking up the house and replacing one entire wall and foundation, we stayed on to completely renovate the entire home. We repaired all the plaster walls, painted everything, replaced or refinished all the original hardwood floors, and designed and built an island for the kitchen.

Jim and Miriam Speakeasy

Jim and Miriam have a rare basement in Eastern North Carolina and wanted to do something fun with it. They, like us, love to reuse so we found a dump close by and Jim went to town on prepping pallet and salvaged wood, while we went to town on creating the fun basement of their dreams.

Joe and Jan’s

Joe and Jan had a pine tree fall into their home during Hurricane Florence. We were honored to help get them back home. Structural repair, new roof, interior work and some upgrades in the kitchen and tile shower in the master bath took about 60 days to complete.

Oh my goodness! I can't recommend Chris, Eric and the crew enough! After hurricane Florence, we had a tree through the roof. The guys came in and repaired our house better than it was before! They were friendly, oh so respectful, professional, and talented. If we ever need a carpenter again, we will definitely use the Capable Carpenter!

Mark’s Kitchen mold removal

Mark noticed a small spot of mold after Hurricane Florence. Unfortunately there are companies out there that would have stain blocked right over this. We knew better. Fixed leak, new exterior sheathing and in less than 2 weeks it was like it never happened.

KeDa Creative Studio build: Phase 1

We created tons of storage on rolling shelves, covered that area with an opening accent wall, constructed a 4’ high top discussion table that transforms from 4’ to 6’ table top and a “tetris” camera display shelf with reclaimed barn wood.

Donald’s Kitchen remodel Part 1

Donald is slowly updating his new home and wanted to start in the kitchen. We built this 10’ island with doors to match the existing. Topped with a granite slab this is a great addition to his kitchen.
